PD
PD
I have filmed my second scene of my music video which took place in Westfield mall. The scene was for Ricky in the group who goes by the name of Chozen. His scene was him walking in the mall and seeing the girl he raps to. He follows her and starts his rap. What made it so difficult I had to take 8 different shots to get good angles of him and the girl. I also shot James scene his scene was buy the train station where he sees the girl across the platforms and runs up to rap to her.
Action plan
My action plan is to now get some more dancing shots of me and group shots of the whole group so I will have more shots to edit and move around. Soon after I want to write out the story line for the music video so it is easy to understand. Then I can get to my editing of the actual music video.

Instrumental
The instrumental that my group used is from a song called that thing buy lauryn hill it is a nice hip hop song with a good beat. Went well with the theme my audience wanted and the look of my group.
Wiki says:
"Doo Wop (That Thing)" is the debut single from American R&B/Hip-Hop artist Lauryn Hill. The song is taken from debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Written and produced by Hill, the song was released as the album's lead single in October 1998. It was Hill's first and only Billboard Hot 100 number-one, to date. The song won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song at the 1999 Grammy Awards on February 24, 1999.

PD 9/28
So far in the process of making the music video the group have completed the song and are now looking at where they want their scene to take place. The place they choose is important because it supposed to go together with their words and the way they are portrayed throughout the music video.
Two members of the groups lyrics are finished and recorded but James hadn’t completely finished his lyrics so we are just waiting for him be for we start the actual music video. The aim is to start the music video by the 4th of October. By that time the music should be completed and gives time for the risk assessment to all be complete.

PD (May 31st – July 19th )
This is my first updated production diary what I have done so far is my genre research on genre on reggaeton I wrote about the genre and added a link for an example. Then I went on to making my audience research I made my first part of my research a questioner to get a narrow view for the questions for my second part of my research. For the second part of my research I did a focus group to ask more in-depth questions so I would be able to apply it to my music video. Soon got the group together so they could get interviewed to answer the questions for the band planning and so the audience know and understand the band more. The audience can build a relationship with the band also talks about background information. I finally went on to doing my genre research about hip-hop and R&B which is the same as the group that I am using for my research

Band planning
Nu Era Swag (N.E.S BOYZ)
Nu era swag is the name of the group, 3 boys that make hip hop and r&b music. They started on January 1st 2010 as a plan to make teen hip hop music reachable to Christian teens who don’t always want to hear profanities and sex portrayed in music. Just something to listen to and a can be danced to but also have a meaning to the song a good message that can help in everyday life. They enjoy making music and it started for them as an escape from being involved with gang violence and drugs on the streets.

Genre Research
There are a plethora of different music genres such as:
The music genre I researched was Reggaeton which is a form of Latin urban music. A few artists that I know for this are Daddy Yankee, Pitbull and many more. Reggaeton music have a good beat that can be danced to usually played in clubs and teen parties.
the link below is a perfect example of reggaeton music

HIP HOP AND R&B
Hip-hop is a musical expression which started in the late 1970 in NEW YORK. Hip-hop includes MCing, DJing, breaking, graffiti writing and beatboxing. In the South Bronx, hip hop culture has spread around the world. Hip hop music first emerged with disc jockeys creating rhythmic beats by looping breaks and then join it with rapping which is poetry with a beat more or less.
R&B which stands for Rhythm and blues is a genre of popular African American music that originated in the late 1940s. Early forms were songs that had a melodic line and a strong rhythmic beat with repeated choruses. Was usually sung and about love or relationships weather good or bad was up to the artist.
50 CENT
In the hip hop genre there are many artists with different characters that they up hold. But one that’s has mostly been seen is the hardcore gangster type that grew up in a struggle and are either rapping or selling to get out of it. They usually talk about how hard it is in their homes and how hard it was growing up in there neighborhood with all the violence and hostility with gangs.
Hip hop rappers like 50cent also known as Curtis James Jackson III are a prime example from growing up and having to result as drug dealing to make ends meat. Started dealing when he was twelve years old during the 1980s crack epidemic he was also shot and struck by nine bullets.
Here are some lyrics from his song I’ll whip your head boy:
“I'll Whip Your Head Boy, you know I will
I'll Whip Your Head Boy, with the back of the steal
I'll Whip Your Head Boy, your cap could get pealed
I'll Whip Your Head Boy, you’re a.. could get k…..”
I'll Whip Your Head Boy, with the back of the steal
I'll Whip Your Head Boy, your cap could get pealed
I'll Whip Your Head Boy, you’re a.. could get k…..”
My genre and a perfect example of hip hop is this:
3rdeyebroadcast.com :
Stage1. Pre-Production
The first stage of a successful production is planning. It is important to plan thoroughly by identifying clearly your Production aims, style, key messages and target audience. This planning stage is a two way process between what you tell us about your market and aims and what we can suggest to you in order to formulate effective and creative video treatments.
At all stages 3rd eye are in dialogue with our clients and our client's market or key aims. This exchange of information and ideas combined with our Production experience enable us to tightly integrate the Production from the start.
Effective and entertaining Professional video speaks volumes about you, your organisation or your Company. A well-planned, well-researched Production delivering your key messages with the right image and style for you is the goal of this stage. Pre-production planning is thus vital to ensure your Production hits its target audience with maximum force and impact. Once we have discussed the project and done the research the final step is a treatment or storyboard made and presented for client approval.
Stage2. Production
We have the means to produce stunning video and DVD. Working with a range of professional formats from broadcast standard kit to the sony dvcam range. 3rd eye use experienced crew to produce crisp, clean and creative video with superb content, and technical quality.
We can produce for Broadcast, Corporate clients and duplicate / encode peices for bulk vhs / dvd distribution and indeed for many formats or delivery systems in-between.
Our Production department is tightly integrated with post-production to ensure we retain throughout the pristine picture and audio quality. Digital integration at 3rd eye not only ensures high-end production values, but we reduce production costs too. This gives you quality video at competitive prices.
Stage3. Post-Production
Our post-production facilities offer choices in both on & off line non-linear editing. Non-linear editing means that each and every aspect pf your Production from video scenes, audio, images, text, or graphics can be mixed, cropped, merged, changed or deleted as you wish, there and then.
Non-linear editing enables both faster and considerably more creative video. Our digital editing systems offer unlimited creative possibilities: special effects too: indeed everything that is necessary in order to produce stunning video productions. The second stage of post-production is the completion of a 'rough edit' for the client to see and discuss any changes. With digital non-linear editing changes to the piece can be done there and then with the client. Clients can then view the edit and take the chance to fine-tune the style, key messages and impact of the production: post production allows us to add, delete, polish off and mix all our source material creatively into a final or 'master' edit. When we have client approval this final cut can then be recorded to the format or media of your choice such as video, cd, dvd or even video for the web. 3rd eye broadcast can supply bulk-run copies in designed and printed sleeves and also archive your edit for future reference.
